LED Floodlight: For Multiple Applications

INITIAL-LED-Floodlight-For-Multiple-Applications

Whether you want to illuminate your garden, backyard, house, a billboard, parking lot, warehouse, commercial building, indoor stadium, field or even a cargo ship, LED floodlights represent the ultimate solution. Ranging from ten (10) to more than a thousand (1000) watts, INITIAL-LED floodlights have spread rapidly into the North American and European lighting markets. LED floodlights have always been a flagship product, thanks to the high quality of light they emit at low energy costs. Not only their lifespan exceeds that of outdated HID floodlights (60,000 to 100,000 hours instead of 2,500-3,000 hours), but they also consume less energy, making them an eco-friendly source of light.

INITIAL-LED floodlights are offered in a whole range of wattage and voltage so that they can match different uses. The XS Series is suitable for commercial and industrial use, as well as for use in public parks and in stadiums. Those weather-resistant floodlights require very low maintenance as they can be wiped with a wet cloth, and their powerful output makes them the perfect light source for cargo ships and for airports’ tarmacs, where employees work day and night.

For residential and recreational use, the 12V LED floodlights are what you need! Their very low energy consumption combined with their solid constitution allow you to use them to light your sailboat or even to light a cottage that is operating on solar, wind or battery power.

Last but not least, the RGB LED floodlights offer vast colour choices that enable you to create the atmosphere you want in your garden, your landscape or your water fountain. They include color-changing capabilities and come with a convenient remote control so you can adjust the lighting to suit your mood.

LED Grow Lights for Indoor Gardening

INITIAL-LED-LED-Grow-Lights-for-Indoor-Gardening

Because of the cold Canadian winters, growing outdoor vegetables and fruits all year round can be a difficult undertaking. It is unfortunately not possible for all the farmers to rely on greenhouse cultivation, which can be highly expensive. Not only must you have good lighting to ensure the growth of your plants, but you must also have an efficient air conditioning. In fact, traditional HPS grow lights produce heat that increases your overall energy costs. All these factors can lead you to abandon indoor vegetable growing and its profits. All of this is now history with LED Grow Lights.

You can now benefit from indoor gardening at a cost-effective price by switching to LED technologies. LED grow lights such as those manufactured by INITIAL-LED have many advantages:

They are energy efficient

  • Since 90% of energy consumption is used to produce light,LED grow lights generate little heat and thus reduce the need for air conditioning. Reducing your greenhouse temperature and your power consumption will allow you to save a lot on energy costs.

They are long-lasting

  • As LED lights normally have a lifespan of around 60,000 hours, you will not have to worry about constantly changing your lamps. This represents more savings over time and makes indoor growing affordable for many farmers.

They are optimized for plants growth

  • Because of their full color spectrum, which accurately reproduces the sun’s spectrum, LED grow lights provide to your plants the light and phytochromes they need to grow faster, bigger and healthier.

INITIAL-LED offers grow lights solutions that are suitable for many agricultural applications, from hydroponics to horticulture, greenhouses, medicinal cannabis culture, seeding, planting, farming, gardening and flower exhibition. USING BATHROOM LED FIXTURES

Initial-LED-Using-Bathroom-LED-Fixtures

Your bathroom is supposed to be your sanctuary. No matter what you are using it for, it should be designed to relax and wind down from your long day of work, schooling, or parenting. That means that your lights should add to that ambiance while still allowing for you to see – after all, bathrooms can be dangerous! You want to be able to see in the shadows, but you also want to see anything on the floor, including water.

So how can you use decorative LED lights to make your bathroom feel like a spa? Here are three approaches:

Downlights

Downlights give concentrated streams of light that add to the overall mood of your bathroom. Use them so that you don’t have to have overhead lighting that will just give you a headache. Instead, use downlights in your bathroom to supplement that lovely candlelight that you use to relax in the bathtub.

Track Lights

Track lights are a great addition to your bathroom if you have a raised bathtub. Why? It will make it safer for stepping in and out of the tub, and will give you just the right amount of light. You can also use it to light the sharp corners on the floor, especially in the bathroom of someone who is a little older.

Finally, use track lights to create a customized display on your wall! Check Pinterest for ideas on how to bring out the best of your bathroom using track lighting.

Tube Lights

Many older homes use fluorescent tubes in their lighting, which are often harsh and hurt your eyes. Instead, use our LED tube lights. It will make your bathroom a much more pleasant place to be – no matter what you are doing.

If you are thinking about redoing your bathroom or building a corporate office with LED lights, design LEDs and specialized fixtures will be the best way to make sure that everything is clean and safe. LED GARDEN LIGHTING

INITIAL-LED-LED-Garden-Lighting

As you’ve learned from other blogs, LED lighting is great for outdoors because of how powerful and efficient it is, how great it looks, and because it wards off insects. However, how exactly can you get those creative and breathtaking displays in your yard using INITIAL-LED’s lights? Well, outside LED garden lighting is still something new to the industry, but we do have amazing project ideas that will make you the envy of your entire neighborhood.

LED Strips

LED Strip lights are a great way to line your windows and porch so that you can have great lighting inside and out. Simply install LED strips on the straight lines that face toward your yard, and watch how it completely transforms your space.

Indirect lighting is a great way to add ambiance and a more romantic feel to your backyard. It’s also a great way to add some color or warmth to the space without making it feel stark and sterile. By putting it on the windows, you are creating a space that feels much bigger than your patio, which will keep the parties going until late into the night.

PAR 38

PAR 38 bulbs are another easy solution for backyard garden LED lighting. PAR 38 are quick and easy, but will have a huge impact on your outside decor. Use a PAR 38 bulb in your existing light fixtures to give them a whole new look. They will seem brighter and clearer than ever before, which is sometimes all that you need to really take your garden to the next level.

If you have a large patio or deck that doesn’t have a lot of fixtures, this could be your solution.

LED Floodlights

LED Floodlights won’t only improve the look of your garden, they will also increase your security.

To add a bit of an artistic touch without sacrificing your safety, use an LED floodlight to backlight some of your displays or gardens. If you have a statue, it would look great with the LED light shining right on it, making it a fixture during the night or the day.

Use different colors to really set off the holiday feel, or to match with your patio furniture. Play around with positions and designs to create really great shadow shapes or shine the light somewhere interesting to get some great indirect lights.

What you can do with outdoor LED lights is up to you – the possibilities are as vast as your imagination!

LED SPORT VENUES AND ARENAS

Initial-LED-LED-Sports-Venues-and-Arenas

No matter where you go, it always seems to be a little bit brighter under the floodlights in a sports arena. From Boston to London to Sydney, sports fans take their lighting very seriously, as it allows for them (and the refs) to see the plays clearly.

Not all sports can be played during the daylight, where it is easier to see the ball, the cheerleaders, and the coach. Still, many have complained about the waste that sports arenas put out when they play hundreds of games in a year.

However, new technology developed in Boston has renewed the desire to LED arenas, LED stadiums, and LED venues of all kinds.

These lights will eliminate shadows and reduce eye strain not only among fans, but also among players! You might get to see some better games because of these developments.

“[LED lights] tend to last for a very long time,” said Tom Pincince, CEO of the company that worked tirelessly on the technology. “Any LED that gets installed dumb stays dumb for a long time.”

Most arenas will use floodlights to light the field, but they will also have traditional bulbs and track lighting inside to help fans get from place to place.

LED usage in sports arenas cuts the price of electricity, which would help to keep ticket prices and fan gear prices low – at least as low as they currently are.

However, don’t expect to see all kinds of new technology at the big leagues yet: “We were hoping to put it together to help the local high school or a small college,” Pincince said. “You make the light smart, and you double or triple savings.”

If you want to outfit your local high school or community field with LED lights, or you just want to improve your backyard tennis court, give us a call. Our customer service representatives will be able to help you identify the products that you can use to have the best lighting available on the market today.

LED STRIP V LED TRACK

Initial-LED-LED-Strip-v-LED-Track

One of the most common calls we get from our customers is to ask us about LED strips and LED tracks:

“Which one will work for an LED ceiling display?”

“Should I use a strip or a track in my office?”

 “Which product is better?”

“Is the product an interior LED light or an exterior LED light?”

Often, there really isn’t a “right” answer for your questions. Instead, we will ask you more about your project and go from there. Both flexible LED strips and rigid LED tracks have good points and bad points – you can probably even use both in a majority of your installations without ever having a problem!

So which one should you consider?

LED Tracks

Tracks are often what we suggest for people who are newer to using LED lights. They come in different sizes that make them easy to measure and place. Some people call them “bar lights” or confuse them with LED tube lights, but they are slightly different.

In most cases, they are perfect for office or industrial use. There are also tracks that can be used in interior design or home design, as they are simple to install and clean. They create a stark, finished look to your lighting, which is great in more modern style homes and décor.

Rigid LED tracks will create perfectly straight lines to make everything seem professional and perfect.

Flexible LED Strips

LED strips are becoming more and more popular because they are some of the most versatile LED products we have in our inventory. While they still provide the quality lighting that you have come to expect from INITIAL-LED, they are slightly different. They are low profile and can be adjusted to fit almost anywhere – so you don’t have to be that precise with measuring!

They bend and adjust to create art installations, write words, or even to create shapes. They are the ultimate lights for DIY home and office décor.

If this still didn’t help you out, or you want to get started and order some of our LED strips or LED tracks, send us a message here and we will get everything ready!

DIY LIGHTED CARPET

DYI-Lighted-Carpet

Is your child afraid of the dark? What about a neat wall hanging that can double as a light source? A DIY lighted carpet using our track lights is a fun and simple project that won’t stress you out, but will help add something unique to your home. You have to know how to crochet, but from there it should be easy.

DIY lighted carpet

  1. Chain five stitches around the LED tube lights. Join the chain you just created and form a ring by inserting the hook through both loops of the first stitch and making a slip stitch. Make sure you are pulling tight, but not too tight around the carpet. You will want the light to shine through this.
  2. Work twelve single crochet (sc stitch) around the loop and the track. Work the stitches into the center of the ring you made in step 1, not into individual stitches of the chain.
  3. Next, work two single crochets (sc) into the first single crochets (sc) in step two. Work one single crochet into the next stitch you take. You should start to see the carpet forming.
  4. Continue working stitches around the loop using an alternating pattern of two stitches in one stitch, then one stitch in the next stitch, as you work around the circle.
  5. Finish off with a slip knot and a touch of glue – make sure you don’t hit the light with the glue. Cut the yarn several inches from the slip knot and use a yarn needle to weave the trailing end into the tube so it isn’t visible.
